I haven't been on the site for a very long time. I was without a computer for about 1 year. I never got back to the site very much since, I have been hooked back up again.

I am still suffering from PTSD, and I always will from harassment, discrimination and retaliation from my x-workplace.

My Kock pouch just keeps on going, wow Big Grin, since 1978 no further surgery on my pouch or valve. I am blessed in this area. I thank God everyday for my continued success with my pouch. I personally think it's the best way to go after a colectomy. I hope to have this pouch for the rest of my life with no further surgery on it. Truly a Blessing! Big Grin

They need this option for more patients in more hospitals, in more areas around the world. It is a very good option and I would do it all over again. Wink

Always remember....After the storm there's a beautiful rainbow.

1977, September a Brooke Ileostomy (allergic to adhesives); 1978, May a Kock Pouch

Glad you are back Jasmine! You are so right that continent ileostomy needs to be more available as an option for those who are not good candidates for the j-pouch or have a failed one. While an end ileostomy is an acceptable option for many, there are also many people who cannot deal with it for a variety of reasons (ranging from allergy to the products to body image issues). Make sure to keep in touch.

Jan Smiler

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
