I haven't been on the site for a very long time. I was without a computer for about 1 year. I never got back to the site very much since, I have been hooked back up again.
I am still suffering from PTSD, and I always will from harassment, discrimination and retaliation from my x-workplace. My Kock pouch just keeps on going, wow They need this option for more patients in more hospitals, in more areas around the world. It is a very good option and I would do it all over again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Always remember....After the storm there's a beautiful rainbow. 1977, September a Brooke Ileostomy (allergic to adhesives); 1978, May a Kock Pouch |

Glad you are back Jasmine! You are so right that continent ileostomy needs to be more available as an option for those who are not good candidates for the j-pouch or have a failed one. While an end ileostomy is an acceptable option for many, there are also many people who cannot deal with it for a variety of reasons (ranging from allergy to the products to body image issues). Make sure to keep in touch.
Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |
