ConfusedOk, call me paranoid (yes, even paranoids have enemies!) but I think something is going on that shouldn't be Frowner
I am having valve pain and a protursion on one side of the stoma, kind of like a lip sticking out...I have seen this before on numerous occasions....notably when I had the peri-stomal hernia and with valve slippage....I am getting really afraid here....I am at 6 weeks and that is usually the time things start to fall apart on me.....Terror is more like it...
I left an email for Dr. C on Sunday...I missed his weekly call on Sat. being that my husband took me out for a coffee in the city....( that was really nice!) and I have jsut left a message with the French surgeon to get an apt...
the nurse was by this morning and doesn't like the wound either...it is still giving off bright green stuff even after 11 full days of anti-biotics...but the wound looks clean and is closing slightly....so, It is really time to see someone for a check up^!
I can't even imagine what I will do if something is wrong now...All I know is that the best case senario would be some thing that the French surgeon could fix on his own without help from Dr. C....
This is no longer even slightly amusing.....

No, I don't think I'd be amused either. Slightly or anything else!
Sharon I hope that you can get this figured out with the help of Dr C. and your French doctor. I guess we can pray for a very minor problem instead of a major one.
Let us know what you find out, try to stay positive and not jump to too many conclusions before you figure out what exactly is going on. (Easier said than done I know!)

I'll walk this winding road into the great unknown.

Well, the doctor here reassured me that all is fine...so did doctor C via internet and we are heading into week 8 now....
Nothing has changed or altered..;I still get occasional leaking around the tube when I intubate..;it seems like beyond a certain capacity it just pours out around it or when it is clogged...I never had that before 5before being between 1979-2000) so I am perplexed but people say that it is fine...so..;I gues that I can live with it if I have to...
I am walking lots and trying to exercise lightly in the park next door...nothing too strenuous but enough to not feel like a lump on a log Big Grin
And so we wait and hope and keep hoping that this time it will work...
with optimism
Sharon
