So what size does a photo need to be to use as your profile picture? I've played around with some photos but they always end up being blurry because the space is so small they have to squeeze in to. Anyone know what dimensions I should be shooting for?

My understanding is that you want a square image that is a close up. What I did was to take a photo and crop it so that it was a square image of just my face, then save the cropped photo as a new file. Then I uploaded that image as my custom avatar.

I think it shrinks the largest dimension down to 68 pixels.
Yours is 39x68, shrunk down from some larger ratio of that size. I know some forums shrink everything to x by y, which will distort anything not in the correct ratio to begin with.

Okay so I don't have a great picture yet just a little piece of one that I had to cut someone else out of but this is just a test to see if it worked. Thanks for the help everyone.
