I hope someone can help...I read previous discussions about this, but this seems different.

I want to edit a post, but there is no icon in the bottom right corner...there used to be when I first became a member, but I've noticed it's not there anymore...any advice?

That's strange. Now I'm going to ask a stupid question.... you're trying to edit your own posts, right? That's the only time the edit icon appears. I know, stupid question.

...yes..my own posts..but the funny thing is that after I posted an answer to a question yesterday, the eraser wasn't there, but I see it there today??? Gremlins in my computer? I'll see if it's there after I post this.

...Yes it was, boy that's strange...yesterday, the only icon that was there was the report this post triangle. Oh well...anyway, thanks for replying!

I wonder ... can you post an answer to another post without being logged in? I had to log in this morning to reply to a PM...could that be the difference? I don't usually log in, just click on the discussion link and visit the forums.

Thanks to the genious of my son, I was able to solve my dilemma. There is a problem with the login/logout function and will sometimes not recognize me as a member after I enter my username and pass. Sometimes, if this happens, you can attempt to reply to a post and login when prompted to do so and then it recognized me.
**I would like to add that my son wrote that up and this was his conclusion...but that seems to be what's happening. Is anyone else having this problem?
