Is there a way to send comment on a poll question? I am absolutely convinced that my quitting smoking was a causative factor in my developing UC which led 10 years later to my j-pouch surgeries. I would like to give that info to Gillian.

Short answer, no. But, you can send a private message to the poster by clicking on their screen name. A drop down list of options will offer you that as one. Quitting smoking is a pretty widely known triggering event to a major flare and is why smoking is considered protective in UC. The opposite is true in Crohn's.
