I wanted to post about the poll forum to make sure people understand how it works, so they can get more valid results from their efforts, and so people may be more likely to respond to them. There have been some very interesting topics brought up, but it seems that there is little in the way of responses, although there are many views.
I have noticed quite a few polls lately that I have been unable to complete. The first few questions seem to apply to me, but then there may be one or more questions that I am unable to answer because there is no appropriate response for me. So, I am forced to either answer incorrectly, or skip the poll altogether. This is because you cannot skip any questions and still enter the poll. An example is the fistula poll that first asks if you have ever had a fistula then later on asks how many you have had. Zero was not a choice for the latter question, so I had to cancel the poll, even though the first few questions did apply to me. So, when you post a poll, make sure to provide answers for everyone that you are inviting to the poll. Sometimes it could be something as simple as a "none of the above" choice for those questions that simply do not apply. I know it is a somewhat complex format, but for it to be meaningful, the questions need to have appropriate answers available. Thanks, Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |
