Had UC for 8 years. Mesalamine in any form didn't work and only prednisone gave me relief. I wasn't willing to try Remicade or MP3 and couldn't take life on and off prednisone anymore. I also have a strong family history of colon cancer so I decided to have J-pouch surgery. I am only 2 weeks out of step 2 & already I have no regrets. Best decision I ever made!
