Hello,
It's another fine day here in Benicia CA, nice and sunny. I'm new to the group but I've had my pouch for 10 years...one day at a time...sometimes I can go almost a week before something irritates the pouch and sometimes it’s a running battle just to make it through the day. I have, for years been reluctant to use Ciporo or Flagyl in any great amount. Two or three pills in a week might be a lot...but recently I'm taking it Ciporo twice a day and still not getting any great results. So here I am, finally beginning to look at how the rest of the J Pouch world deals with the issues. I'm an electrician and I work in an oil refinery so I get a fair amount of exercise. I’m 59 years old so I can count the month till I’m ready to retire. My biggest hobby is photography, I love hiking and shooting the great outdoors. DSC01171rdcd2.jpg (81 Kb, 16 downloads) |

Welcome and a holler from a little south. I am in Fremont. 52 years old with a nearly 13 year old pouch. I manage my output with Imodium and control chronic cuffitis with Azulfidine. My main issue right now is enterpathic arthritis. Was treating with Humira until a week ago. I developed some very fast heart rhythms (>200), so we are going to take care of that before resuming Humira (not likely Humira related). I am now waiting for my consult with the cardiac electrophysiologist...
Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |

Welcome! I am a Southern California poucher who hangs out with the Northern California group. I am a wanna-be! You will have to join us at our next pouch luncheon. Lots of great pouchers in your area. I have to say I am envious of your pending retirement and the opportunity to hike to your heart's content. Sigh....
