I teach college biology labs part time, take care of my family (which seems to mostly involve driving people around these days!), and do all kinds of fiber arts stuff (spin, knit...) on the side.
Still figuring out the surgery thing, and hoping it all turns out ok. At least they are very supportive at work. I wish I could really know how long I might be out...

Hi,
I am a grants administrator in Seattle, Washington. (I really appreciate what others have posted about the challenge of having restroom access in a work environment - I feel much more comfortable when I am at home.) I also enjoy gardening, reading and cooking.

Originally, when I was studying to be a physical therapist, I also worked as a massage therapist and personal trainer.

Ahh, but money lured me away to my current job, which is an IT geek, errr, Analyst for a major utility. (Still fascinated with PT though...eventually it'll happen!!)

In my former life I was in office administration. Secretary to the President of a national organization.
Since I had my colectomy in 6/03 I lost my 36 year old husband Bill.
I am a single parent/mom to three. I do some contracting and I own a small entrepreneur home based business. It gives me a creative outlet and pay some bills as I continue to try and stay out of the work out of home work force.

I'm a stay-at-home mom, and hubby is a police officer (motorcycle cop - not good with UC!), but due to the disease has been off work since 2/20/07.

Life certainly is uncertain!

I taught elementary school for five years in Alabama. When we moved to Wisconsin for my husband's job in 2005, I decided not to find a teaching job until I was healthy again. I currently work a clerical position in the quality assurance department at Swiss Colony. My husband makes historically accurate, fully functional swords for a living. You can check the swords out at www.albion-swords.com
