What do you do?

My disease disabled me from continuing my stressful career in a cubicle handling workers compensation claims (you can't just drop phone calls to run to the one restroom on the floor which is through two security doors and down a long hall).

I returned to my first love, art. . . and now I am a full-time (when I can actually be productive) artist! Example below:

I work in advertising at an ad agency.

It's not as sexy as tv/movies make it look. But we do have a foosball table, a Wii and a kegarator. Not many companies can say that.

Thank you for asking this question. I am just returning to work full-time and I am scared.

I review insurance programs for large corporations. I have to visit our clients 60% of the time and I don't want to have an accident. I have told my employer their may be times I just can't go to a clients office. For me to get ahead this my back fire on me. I have asked my employer to move me closer to the ladies room. So I will be doing this next week. I am trying to be confident and secure.

SKH Good Luck I hope your employer is flexible.

Helen

My wife and I are a team who've written and produced TV shows for 17 years. We've written on such shows as 3rd Rock From The Sun, The Nanny, According To Jim, Hope & Faith, and The John Larroquette Show. By the way, we're not very "Hollywood". We're just a regular family. We're not glamorous, we work hard for long hours, and there are long periods without work. But we love it and we laugh a lot.

I am a behaviorist working with people with developmental disabilities. I am also a musician (bassist) who plays with several bands in the NYC area as well as doing studio work. I am 33, have a wife and 2 daughters (4 and 2) and we live in NJ. I had my surgeries almost 14 years ago now (march and July 1993, January 4 1994) and have been fairly healthy since then. I am very happy to have found this forum, although I do personally know 3 other people who have had this surgery (and 2 of them are also musicians).
