I am wondering if there is anybody around Montana that has a doctor that specializes in jpouches? I go to the mayo in minn. but its too far if something happens.

I hear there is a new surgeon in Spokane performing J-pouches. A friend of a friend is from Helena and just was in Spokane for surgery a couple of weeks ago.

Ronald Schnier is the only colorectal surgeon listed who is board certified in Montana.Don't know if he does J pouches.Mayo is far but by far closest with experience and knowldege.

there are 3 in boise and one in wyoming too
several in washington. guess it depends on where you are in montana

My husband recently had the 1st of 3 surgeries done in Spokane by Dr. M Shane McNevins. We are from Helena and were told there weren't any doctors in Montana that do the J-Pouch. Dr McNevins does the surgery laperoscopy (sp?).
