Hi, I just want to introduce myself. I am Marilyn from Carmel Valley, CA ( Monterey Peninsula)and I have had a J- Pouch since 1985.I am learning so much from reading the discussions and I hope I can be some help to others as well.I think I have probably had it all...Strictures,pouchitis,total revision after pregancy, butt burn.I have also had a really fabulous life without a colon for 24 years.I am an R.N. who no longer works as one and I am a big believer in excercise, good nutrition and suppliments to stay healthy and feel good.I also do accupuncture & get massages which really helps me cope, especially now that I am also going through menopause.Anyone else out there had there surgeries done at UCLA in the 80's?

Well, hello there Ms. Morgadinho! Very pleased to meet you and welcome to our wonderful site. It's so nice to 'see' your face here! You may even have one of the very oldest j-pouches here. You just went right to the top, didn't you?
I'm so glad you're joining us!
