I have been aware of this site for some time and finally joined in April this year.

I suffered from ulcerative colitis for about 10 years and finally needed to seek surgical help. I had Step 1 surgery in March 2007, Step 2 in June 2008 and was scheduled for takedown in June 2009 now postponed until the end of August.

I want to thank the numerous contributors who have posted positive comments on how they've dealt with issues relative to colitis.

I have learned a lot from this site and intend to continue following it contibuting when I can.
