Hi, I am from Farnworth, Bolton, Lancashire. I am mum to five (ages 28 today, 26, 18, 15 and 9) grandma to three (ages 2, 6, and 8) So as you can imagine I am kept pretty busy. I had my first operation in 2004, next one in 2006 and then the final reversal in 2007. I am doing quite well really, just have a few problems with my liver now, think that is due to the medication I have been taking. Other than that I am well. Oh by the way, I also Manage an Under 9s boys football team, something I could never have done when I was ill. So I have come a long way since my UC. I think this forum is brilliant

Hi I'm 40, live in Dorset on the sunny south coast. But originally from Hull, Yorkshire. I was dx with crohns in 2002, had sub total collecctomy April 09, admitted into hosp Sept 09, suspected adhesions, discahrged redamitted 4 days later with same probs as possible bliockage or partial blockage suspected, rectal inflammation. J pouch surgery Dec 09, Only just made it home for xmas ans spent 40th birthday in hospital ! 3 weeks inhosp after surgery. various probs, a leak, pouch filled with fluid, back into theatre, e-coli found in pouch also. Never been right since, still havin probs and waiting to find out if I will be admitted into hospital again!!! No children, always too ill when finally met my man! Two step sons tho, and a gorgeous step granddauhter. Didnt put after my op in April 09 test came back UC not crohns hence why was offered J pouch option. Altho at present I fear I may not get to experience my J pouch function. Thats me, Shelly x
