Hi Danni,

I live in rural Sussex, have 4 daughters, now grown up, and 3 grandchildren.

Had j-pouch 1 step surgery 2001 due to UC.
After 4yrs with no problems, chronic pouchitis set in requiring constant antibiotics. Both Flagyl and Cipro eventually caused side effects, so.....
Had j-pouch removal and permanent ileostomy July 22nd this year.

9 weeks after surgey now, and feeling good Smiler

Best wishes
Marina Smiler

I'm kind of.... Smiler
My father is English (Mum is Norwegian) so my first language is English, I have a UK passport and none other! I lived in Crowborough, East Sussex for a few years when I was little, followed by 7 years in Potters Bar, Herts, then 4 years in Edinburgh before I moved to Norway and settled here permanently. I refuse to give up my UK nationality and become Norwegian (they don't allow dual nationality here) and seem to be getting more and more British the older I get. I can almost get weepy at the mention of cumberland sausages, Cheddars and Cadbury's chocolate!!!
