hey, my name is Mad 'madison'. I'm 18 and live near Salt Lake. I was diagnosed with Uc in January of '06. I was familiar with the disease though because my younger sister was diagnosed with it in aug '04. we both took the surgical route. she had her for 7months, I had mine for only over 6 weeks. I had my takedown on sept 12th 06 and ran into some complications, my bowel is a little obstructed, not fully but I had to have an NG tube for almost a week because instead of things going down, they came up. I'm actually still in the hospital as of now (sept 22nd.) I havent had anything to eat in 12 days. I'm in TPN and Lipids through PIC line. I may be going back into surgery today at one to fix this.
