Hi all,

Just wondering... I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I'm noticing some new redish/ purplish lines around my stoma scar. I'm just starting to show a bit... so I assume this must be strech marks around the stoma?

Good news is that my husband thinks it cool. Strange man!

Thanks,

Nicole

Congrats on the baby!

I'm a little confused though. Do you still have a stoma/ostomy? Or just a scar where it used to be?

Either way, I'd assume that what you're seeing are stretchmarks from the skin stretching. But as always, when in doubt call the doctor.

Thanks Faith1.

Best,
Nicole

The first of many weird looking things that will happen to you Nicole! I have all kinds of marks that developed during this pregnancy. Som eof the ones from Alex went away, some didn't but none have caused any issues...

At the moment I can barely see my stoma scar! I'm less than a week away from the big birthday and my belly is a bit too big. However, I do have small stretch marks on my main vertical scar. No problems and it doesn't hurt. Also, the point that is near my belly button didn't stretch like the rest, so my belly is a little flat in the front. Your belly will morf into weird shapes by the time you're done. I think it is kinda cool. My hubby doesn't care, he's just happy we're having a baby. Good luck to you and your babe, I hope that you have a comfortable pregnancy and an easy birth.
