Hi, all,

Once again I'm writing on behalf of my friend.
A few weeks ago she had her second takedown and she is now dealing with her second fistula. She has asked me to find out what (if any) non-surgical options are there for repairing a fistula besides the Seton stitch which she is also dealing with for the second time. She is now taking 6mp. Thank you very much.

By non-surgical, I hope she means, options that do not involve major surgery. I am sure she's tried all the conservative measures of sitz baths, antibiotics, etc.

Other minimally invasive treatments include a fistula plug (for anal fistulas)

and fibrin glue.

Both have only modest success rates and neither one is useful for rectovaginal fistulas.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

Lots of antibiotics for several years; not sure about sitz baths. I will ask. Thanks!
