Hi.I completed 3 step jpouch surgeries last may and have had debilitating periods since.Recent tests have indicated ovarian cysts and possable endometriosis.I had blood clots in legs and lungs before and after surgeries making treatment options difficult.I am out of work again because I have a physically demanding job as an occupational therapist.The pain is now constant not just during period - back,pelvis,legs.The coumadin makes the bleeding even worse so I'm so fatigued by period.B12 shots help a little but not always.Has anyone else had horrible periods since surgery?anyone else have blood lots limiting treatment options?the clots make you unable to take birth control pills or hormone injections.If I have laparotomy surgery for both they think it is likely to reoccur.Does anyone know of gyno in Philadelphia that is experienced with jpouch?I'm afraid to have surgery if it could potentially damage pouch.Thanks for listening.Take care

I have pcos n endometriosis. I already had a lft ovarian cystectomy n Jan. Pain that was relieved was a lot!! then had ILEO analanastamosis in may of 2011. My last period was bad!! So went to obgyn n saw that both ovaries had cysts again! N endo is a pain!! Plus my scar frm surgery makes it worse cuz nerves r all messed up. Currently on birth control that will eventually stop period n Metformin to control sugar insulin.
