I am 42 years woman , till today(31dec) I am 30days pregnant.
but I have been given Flagyl(metronidazole)for 7days during my pregnency.
The last menstrattion begon 2 dec.
I use Flagyl(metrojidazole)from 19dec--25dec.
I took 500mg , twice a day, totally 7 days,
that is totally7000mg.
How danger is this medicine to pregnancy?

I was on Flagyl constantly because of pouchitis. I told my surgeon that I may want to try to get pregnant. I asked what they would do if I needed to go back on Flagyl while pregnant and she said that she wouldn't put me back on it during the first trimester and I would just have to "tough it out". She really didn't want me on it during the first trimester. I don't say this to scare you but you should really speak with your OB and your surgeon to see if there's something else you can use, if you need another antibiotic.

i have hear so much negative comment over Flagyl,that even my house doctor told to relax, but i just cannot.

i check on internet everyday to try to find more positive over Flagyl, and i cannot sleep well.

Hope to get more info from somebody who really ever used the Flagyl during pregnancy,
