Hi,

I am 11 weeks pregnant and I am doing well. I just had a slight query and wondered if anyone could help me with it? I had takedown at the end of Feb this year and both previous steps in the 3-part pouch formation last year. just wondered with these surgeries so close together and not that long ago would I be more likely to show my pregnancy earlier?
The reason I ask is I am slightly overweight for my height. I had put on nearly 3 stone with drugs, steroids and lack of mobility and had been working hard to lose it. I had a stone to go when I found out I was pregnant.
I have a slight bulge now but don't know if this is bloating or the first pregnancy signs.
Sorry to waffle on but just was curious.

I was pretty much showing from 8 weeks on. I'm pretty sure that it was bloating at first but I never got 'un' bloated before really starting to show. Every week, my belly grows even larger. I am 13 weeks and I look like I am 5 or 6 months pregnant. I'm not sure if abdominal surgery has anything to do with it (I guess it could since your muscles are lax) but I know that everyone is different.
I've been wearing maternity clothes since the middle of 9 weeks.

We thought I started showing at 4 months until I hit 5 months! I had a very slight bump at 4 months, but really popped at 5 months. I'm 5'1" and was 105lbs at conception, so you would think I'd show fast but I didn't really. I think it is different for everyone.

Congratulations! That's exciting news. As for your question, I think it is different for everyone. My wife didn't show until about 4.5 months. One of our good friends was showing at 2 months. They are both petite women, but it does go to show that the "showing" period is variable.

Thanks for all the replies guys and I am sure that it is a bit of wind or bloating at the mo. Think I am just excited and can't wait to tell people and to finally feel pregnant.
