Most pregnant women, even those without pouches, experience a change in bowel function while pregnant. For most women this manifests as constipation, but for some it is an increase in bowel function. Given our unique plumbing, it is understandable that we would fall in the second category.
Why do you say it is pouchitis? Is it just an increase in output? Or do you have pain, bleeding or other symptoms? Have you been scoped and diagnosed as pouchitis?
It could also be that as your body is changing to prepare for the baby's rapid growth, the pressure on your intestines is greater and may be causing pouchitis.
ANyway, difference in bowel function is pretty par for the course in pregnancy for most women.
