If you had a fistula and it is mostly closed, is it possible for a staple to come out of your vagina and the fistula is still closed, hoping the staple was on the side of the vagina. Or, is there probably still a hole?

I never had surgery for a fistula as I've never had one.
BUT, they did use staples to close up my j-pouch and I passed numerous staples. My j-pouch seems to be fine for almost 10 years now.
