Haven't heard of Diclectin, but my Mom took Bendectin with all three of her pregnancies. They took it off the market for a while, believing it to be harmful, but we heard it was back on the market in the past few years.

Is your issue nausea or the pressure you are feeling? How many weeks along are you? Some pressure may be from the uterus stretching to fit the baby. Lots of women get constipated during pregnancy but some women go the other way, so that might be part of the increase too. Any changes to what you are eating?

I'm feeling much more nausea with my second pregnancy than my first and it has gotten worse since I hit 8 weeks. I'm hoping it will end at 12 weeks as it does for most women...

Diclectin has been around for about 25 years, but before that there was a similar drug, probably the one your mom took that was taken off the market. Since then, an ingredient was taken out and Diclectin was made...only avail in Canada though. I know that some women get constipated with pregnancy but I never had that with any of my other three children I had, because a) I was sufferring from UC or b) I had no large intestine left. However, do you think it's possible to feel constipated with a j-pouch even if the stool is soft? I really do feel constipated. I force and force because I feel like I have to go (the pressure probably causing this). I felt this same way post jpouch surgery, but it ended up being adhesions had grown over the opening where the anus and the pouch attached (I had to have that removed). So I was forcing to get the stool to pass through this slite opening. Felt much better once it was removed. I wonder if the baby or uterus is pinching or pressing on a part of my bowel causing me to feel this way??? I know you wont have the answers but it's nice to vent and hear some opinions from other jpouchers who tend to know more than the doctors do. I'm 14 weeks now and when I try to come off the Diclectin I feel very sick. Not just nauseated, but sick. As for the uterus stretching to fit baby, I think that mine has been stretched too many times already to have this affect me, but who knows. Not eating any different either. Thanks for your help.
