Oh boy, congrats! Love to hear these stories! We'll be pregnant together! I have my first u/s tomorrow. Somewhat nervous since I had a miscarriage in June, but things look better this time so far. THis was our second fresh IVF cycle - the first brought us Alex who is 22 months old.

Thanks! We are supre-excited, as this has been a rather long time in the process.
Jill - how did your ultrasound today go?

u/s went great. Saw a heartbeat which was a really good sign because it was early for that. The u/s tech said she thought she saw a second sac and I told her to bite her tongue and check again. We only transferred one embryo specifically to reduce the chance of twins. Turns out it was probably just an are of bleeding from the implant. One more u/s with the clinic in 2 weeks then I go to my OB.
My due date is July 23, but we'll probably deliver 2 weeks early as we did wtih Alex.
jps - how are you feeling? Any tiredness yet? Other symptoms? I'm so happy for you! It's exciting the second time around, but nothing compared to the euphoria of the first time after worrying for so long that it might not ever happen.

Congrats on seeing the heartbeat - I can't believe I still have to wait another 2 weeks! This part of the waiting is way worse than the initial 2 week wait. Symptoms are still fairly mild at this point, just really tired with the occasional mild queasies the past few days so I am counting myself lucky at this point. Had really bad cramping & lower back pain the first two weeks after the transfer, but that seems to have subsided now that I am off the PIO shots. How are you feeling so far? I'd imagine it's a bit harder to cope with any symptoms with a rugrat around to manage. It's just quite a relief at this point to have gotten this far and know that even if something were to go wrong (god forbid) I at least can get pregnant, so it wasn't time or money wasted in the trying...now I've just got to get through the next 36 or so weeks. -Jen

I'm feeling pretty good considering. Very tired which is indeed hard with an almost 2 year old. I'm lucky though that hubby is a teacher, so he's home early in the afternoons and I can get some rest.
I'm a bit queasy in the afternoons, but only threw up once two weeks ago. Didn't have much morning sickness the first time either. Sour foods really help the quesies though...This time I'm using dried cherries, last time I used sour jelly beans (sugar is unappealing this time). Also find that chocolate milk helps a lot (and I don't like it any other time than when I'm pregnant).
A little discomfort, cramping but not too bad. Waking a lot at night though...NP said all this was normal. Don't remember it from the first time around.
