There are lots of threads about this. If Ive read correctly it can be done, but requires extreme caution and care.

First off anal sex can 'stretch' the anal sphinctre and therefore cause leakage or lack of control issues etc. One of the basis of a functional j pouch is the fact that you have really good sphincter control...without it you can become fully incontenent...which is the biggist issue.
Second there are questions if it can hurt the j pouch as well...I cannot speak to that subject (I have a j pouch and am closed off down there!) Not everyone who has anal sex ends up incontenent but it is a risk. Sharon It could be worse...oh, wait..it already has been! then I guess it can only get better from here.... |

Personally I love my pouch dearly and wouldnt risk it for the sake of some bum fun, also I know after having examinations (usually surgeons finger...so he tells me) that there is always a small clean up operation....cannot begin to think what the clean up operation would be like after inserting a larger implement but im sure it would be more of a larger scale clean up, i fear that this could perhaps spoil not only the sheets but also the after party chat???

There are some people that do this with extreme caution and with taking certain precautions, although it's generally not recommended. I'll be honest when I say that this is the ONLY thing the surgeon told me I should not be doing after j-pouch surgery (well that, and inserting anything into the pouch wider than your index finger for dilation). The basic reason for this is that the pouch and/or sphincter can be stretched/damaged by inserting any foreign object. However, if this is something that is very important to you--and I understand why it could be--then I really think you need to be frank with your surgeon and discuss the concerns you are having and the available options.
