So I'm seeing a therapist now for personal reasons. But one thing over the past few months I've noticed is that my PMS time is like MAJOR emotional trainwreck--like seriously almost puts a stop on life at times. NOT GOOD. I thought this was due to my other 'stuff' that I'm seeing the therapist for but she said it could be a hormonal rebalancing act because I didn't have my period for nearly two years due to UC.
Opinions are welcome---

My last series of surgery scared my period away....for good and put me into menopause so I guess that anything is possible...I always had really wicked periods post op..what my doc found was that all of my surgeries caused (he thought) a bunch of ovarian cysts which caused really wicked ovulations, PMS and periods ( pretty much bitchy 20 days out of 30)...so he put me onto progesterone and gave my ovaries a rest (for 3 yrs) when I finally got my period back it was so much lighter and easier to live with...of course it is a non-subject now...but you may want to consider your options maybe skipping a few months of periods (you may also discover that it helps your psycological balance too).. It could be worse...oh, wait..it already has been! then I guess it can only get better from here....

Getting your period back is a good thing as your body is getting back to normal right? Having PMS is now back in the mix. Your therapist is probably right and your hormones are messing up everything. No simple solutions for us is there? I was wondering if this is a situation where taking the pill will help? It's isn't good that it's affecting you like it is, maybe you should see your OBGYN.
Hang in there, brighter days HAVE to be ahead for us, right?
