I am 8 weeks along (due date Jan8/09 and I have a lower right side pain since yesterday afternoon. The pain is constant but manageable. It has been radiating through to my back. My output has increased and is a bit more mushy than normal. The funny thing is the pain will come and go throughout the day, it disappears when I move. I can sleep fine so it is not that bad but I have no idea what it is. I have had blockages before and it does not feel like that so I am wondering if it’s an ectopic pregnancy. I am not bleeding, I still have swollen/tender breast and I still have morning sickness nausea that lasts throughout the day that I am taking Diclectin 3 times a day for the nausea, and I am eating fine...I am just starting to get really scared...what can this pain be? I have a J-Pouch done laparoscopic in a 3 stage operation so my scaring is at a minimal. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for any help,

Age

It could be an ectopic; I was told that sharp and radiating pain in the upper back, shoulder area is a classic sign. Plus the timing is about right...I would call your OB sooner rather than later and get advised as to what to do.

Its lower back pain (not high back pain)radiating from the front...its where my J-Pouch is thats causing the problem. I am wondering if the Diclectin is causing problems with my puch because this pain started about 24 hrs after I started taking it.
Has anyone taken Diclectin before.

Couldn't it just be your uterus moving and the muscles stretching, possibly pulling on an adhesion?

Have you been to the doctor?

Well my OBGYN said get straight to the hospital...so after 12 hours, blood/urine/ultasound and well the baby is fine. Smiler...now what is the pain. The hospital had no idea and said for me to go to my family doctor next week if the pain keeps up. I was just wondering if it could be the medication I am taking called Diclectin for morning sickness. Do you think it could be causing problems with my J-Pouch?
Has anyone with a J-Pouch taken Diclectin?
Or maybe Kar is right maybe its just my uterus moving and the muscles stretching, possibly pulling on an adhesion? How long does this last for Frowner
I have no idea, but the pain is real, and the hospital that I went to, noone knows what a J-Pouch is...so they cannot help me.
