This is a question from Winnie (I am her husband who is posting it). I had a c-section on Feb 29 and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. However, ever since then, I have been having terrible gas pains, to thee point where I do not want to eat. My doc said that they would go away in a few days. I had some adhesions that were found during the surgery. Are these the cause? Will they go away? When/how soon?

Life is like a box of chocolates...

Hi Winnie and Hubby,

First of all congratulations on the new arrival. Smiler

Sounds like you may have a little bit of ileus going on there. This is where the bowels are slow to wake up. You need to move around as much as possible so try to walk as much as you can. Other than that it's just a waiting game and I'm sure things will settle down very soon for you.

Good luck to you all. Take care. Smiler

Cool Shell Cool

One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! Wink

I had this too and took about 2-3 days to go away. It was the worse when I afterpains and the contactions that help the uterus go back to normal size.
