my understanding is this happens to men/women but more common with women. Hormones can also be a factor. I think I am in the early stage of menapause. I don't consider that I have a problem urinating but only figured I was concentrating on the other so much. I've had pelvic pain but OB said unless I just wanted to do other test she thought everything is okay. When having j-pouch prolapse surgery part of j-pouch had attached itself to part of female parts. ANYWAY! Is anyone experiencing any of this and if so what are you doing to help. Being told after being scoped by GI that I have an ulcer from straining, grinding trying to have a bowel movement and should do pelvic floor rehab. I am just not sure that is the solution.

Hi kk,
Are you in a lot of pain? I don't understand why I am getting worse, my take down was 4 months ago. I knew I was having bladder, vagina and J-pouch problems so went to my Internist. Is this what your pelvic floor problems relate too? After an internal digital exam she thinks my bladder is prolapsing onto my vagina. They did a CT scan and the only report I got back from her nurse was it showed normal scar tissue. I have an appt with my gyno in a few days and really don't know if I can take the pain that long, it keeps getting worse. I'm down to a mainly liquid diet and taking Tramadol as often as I can. I tried lifting both of my legs up while laying down and it caused sharp pains. I'm going more than I was and still taking my immodium and psyllium. I have no idea if this is some kind of prolapsing or if I'm also getting an infection some where.

I'm through menopause and have had a hysterectomy. My GYNO's partner, who is a friend, thinks that the small intestines could be pushing down on everything. She's sure my GYN is going to do more testing but I don't understand why they couldn't see this on the CT Scan.

I don't think the doctors understand all of our pain and how depressing this all is. Are you going to have more testing done? What are they going to do for the ulcer in your pouch? Hope it goes away, give you antibiotics?

How did you know your pouch had prolapsed? It just feels like everything is literally falling out of me.

I have problems urinating sometimes until I expel my pouch BM's which hasn't been a probelem lately as I'm going so much. Do you think that might be your issue?

I see you posted this several weeks ago so I hope that by now you are doing better.

I was looking over the site looking for someone that had any problem similar to mine and yours is the closest I could find. Thanks for letting me vent,
