I am 5 weeks pregnant after 6 months of trying. We got pregnant without drugs or IVF, which was very exciting for us. My ob/gyn and Gastro doc are very optimistic that I should have a healthy pregnancy and C-section delivery. I have had some leaking at night, however, which is rather gross. I am incredibly tired, and bloated, so I don't know if it's just because I'm sleeping so deeply I don't feel the leaking until it's a yucky mess, or what. I wonder if any other women have experienced this and if you have any methods or remedies, as it's kind of gross. And since I'm only 5 weeks along, what if the leaking gets worse?? My docs don't think it's really an issue, but to me it's just yucky.

I am 29 weeks pregnant, and had the same leakage issues for a very short time at the beginning of pregnancy also. I, too was a little worried that it would continue, but by 8-10 weeks, it had stopped. I thought maybe it had something to do with being extra exhausted in the beginning, in addition to my body adjusting to pregnancy as well as the prenatal vitamins. I found that trying not to eat too much later on the evening (especially sugary foods) helped a little. Sorry I can't help more than that, I really didn't try any other remedies. But hang in there, hopefully, this will pass shortly.

Cataja~ My GI doctor said I don't have to have a C-section if I don't want to, but the risks are high for incontinence as you cannot tear or have an episiotomy. I did not want to risk it, and besides, what's another scar, right?

I have been told the same thing. I could opt to NOT have a C section if I want to but there is more of a risk to us possibly hurting our pouches. I told my OB GYN this and she said she would recommend a C section then.

Nothing thick or solid comes out but some clear liquid seems to make its way out. (bile maybe?). I always wake up with wet panties in the back end. I know that it's not urine because it usually happens when I have to go #2....and the wetness is toward the back side. I am 24 weeks pregnant and have only noticed it happening in the 2nd trimester. It is rather gross but I guess it could be worse. I have been thinking about getting a pad or pantyliner now since it's been happening more often now.
