I'm pregnant with my fourth baby - yeh! My first I had while sufferring from UC. My second post ostomy surgery (and I had another surgery before becoming pregnant for her), third baby was post j-pouch surgery and now three years later, pregnant again. I never had an issue with scar tissue affecting my ability to become pregnant, fortunately. However, this time, I'm only 13 weeks pregnant and feel horrible pressure in my bottom when standing/walking - all the time. Has anyone experienced this with their j-pouch? Help.

I feel it all of the time too. I am 18 weeks pregnant. I find that I am straining a lot when I have a BM. I have read other strands and they seem to say the same. We have pressure from the growing uterus and such. Sharon

Hi Ladies
I am 24 weeks and asked my doc about the pressure and he said it was normal for the baby to put pressure on your bowels. Even people without a j-pouch feel a lot of pressure. I also have to strain to go......or else I wouldn't go at all. |
