And my pouch seems all over the place, is this normal?

Also just for a little inspiration to those that may need it, we got married on the 8th of December 07 and pregnant 3 weeks later! I am 33 years old. Mostly I have chronic pouchitis, so its very possible !

Hope you are all going well xxx

Hi there!

No I am taking low dose kefflex which is safe during pregnancy, it keeps the pouch bearable. Perhaps my pouchitis could be the cause of the increased BM's.

After looking around here I don't thing it is normal in the first few weeks?

Take care x

My second pregnancy I found my self having more BM's without having pouchitis. I blame hormones and less room for storage in the j-pouch.

Change in bowel function is very normal in all pregnant women (not just pouchers). Most women experience it as constipation, but some see an increase in bowel movements. It is likely that with our unique plumbing, we get the increase rather than the slow down.
