Oh, congrats! Great news!
My first beta with Alex was very high too, but was only one. It does often mean twins, but not always. You'll probably have to wait for the first u/s to know for sure.

How exciting! I hope you have an easy pregnancy and feel healthy! P.S. I love the idea of having twins. I tell my fiance that he can't get a sports car because 2 car seats won't fit, haha.

Congratulations! Wonderful news.
How are all of you affording IVF? Is it covered by your insurance? It's just not an option for us and we've been TTC for over 2 years.

IVF is horribly expensive. My husband and I took out a medical loan.

In MA, insurance must cover fertility treatments. I think it stems from the fact that the first test tube baby was born here adn the heavy science base from all the Universities in the area.
As long as you follow a specific protocol - 3 IUIs with oral medication, 3 with injectible then you can do 3 IVFs at no charge. If you get pregnant through IVF and have a live delivery, you can then do another 3 IVFs (no more IUIs) for another child.
Because of the low success rate of IUIs and the higher risk of multiples, my drs petitioned the insurance company to let us skip 4 of the IUIs so we did 2 IUIs with oral meds and then IVF. We had our son from that first IVF. We did a frozen cycle in the spring of 07 that resulted in a miscarriage. We did our second fresh cycle in November and I"m now 10 weeks pregnant. We feel very fortunate to have had such success and to have the insurance coverage. It certainly removed a huge stress from an already stressful situation.
