Has anyone had experience with having a dilation performed during pregnancy? I’ve had my J-Pouch for 11 years and go in every few years for a dilation when needed. To make things complicated I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant and having pain & lots of diarrhea and gas. After no success with getting through to my OB, I went to a surgeon today and she has scheduled me for a dilation and scope this Friday.

It makes me nervous to do any type of procedure this far along however I am very uncomfortable.

I had my procedure yesterday and it went better then I had hoped. They brought in an ultrasound to look at the baby before and after the procedure and my doctor consulted with my OB's office to make sure the levels of medication where safe. Other then the ususal discomfort after a dilation procedure, all is going well.
