Hi all,
Just wondered when you stopped working prior to having babies? I am a primary teacher and 32 weeks now. I was planning to work till April 25th so that would mean I would be 36 weeks. I am having the baby at 38 +4 is that cutting it fine? Corrinne x |

Hi Corrine,
I think as long as you feel well, that sounds fine. I stopped working 3 weeks before I delivered (I delivered almost 3 weeks early) because I was exhausted and huge but also my pouch wasn't working very well (constipation). My doctor really let me decide when to let me off work. I was very glad that I had some time to be at home and think and relax before the baby was born. |

Hello,
I stopped work 1 week before I had my son. I had a hour drive, and was getting quite uncomfortable. Towards the end I just took things week by week, as I had weekly doctor appointments. I think the rest before delivery helped speed my recovery along. Best wishes! Life is like a box of chocolates... |

I stopped working 1 week before my scheduled c-section and that was fine. It was nice to have some time at home to prepare before the delivery.

I stopped work the first time around while in labor. The nurse was hooking me up to everything as I was making last minute phone calls!!! Babies 2 and 3 I stopped the week before. If you feel okay and your dr. says you are fine then do what you feel is right.
