I know some of you out there have had issues with a Bartholin Cyst, I have read up on some older posts. My problem is that I have one that will not go away. It seems to swell up, then drain a little, then swell up again. My OB said it has to swell up really big before he could drain it, and it hasn't gotten to that point yet, thankfully. It just gets to the point of being irritated and a little uncomfortable. I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and worry that this will be ongoing throughout my pregnancy. I have soaked and put hot compresses on it, but nothing seems to help. Could this be masking something else, such as a fistula? I haven't had any symptoms to suggest a fistula, but I've never had one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Colleen,

I had a bartholin abscess in December. Unfortunately the abscess go through my bowel and now I have a fistula. The fistula is from rectum to bartholin gland. It is so rare but now I have a one. I will have surgery in two weeks. Please Colleen, do whatever you can and get rid of it as soon as possible...
