I am only 7 weeks along with my first pregnancy, but I am already showing. This is my first pregnancy. Some of my friends and family could tell I was pregnant before I even told them. Everyone says that with your first pregnancy you don't show until about 5 months. I was wondering if because of my abdominal surgery I am showing sooner, as my muscles never became as "tight" as they were before my surgery. Has anyone else had similiar issues? I feel like a fool buying maternity clothes so soon, but my pants are incredibly tight!

I remember that I could not zip my pants when I was 11 weeks and it had been going on for a bit. I don't consider that "showing", though because with longer shirt on no one could tell I was pregnant. I actually didn't start noticeably showing until I was about 5 months. If you're a person with a small frame then it's certainly possible that you could be showing early as everyone's body reacts differently. I wonder what my body will do if/when I get pregnant again. Will I show sooner (people say you show sooner on your second) or will I show later due to more room in my belly from the lack of a colon? Hmmmmm..

I have a picture of myself at 6 weeks and I looked normal..just a little bloated. Then, at 7 weeks, I started to look like I'd packed on 10lbs around the waist. By 8 weeks, I had quite the belly and wore loose clothes. I started wearing maternity pants at 9 weeks.....but was still able to wear normal shirts. (maternity shirts were still pretty long in the front) I looked pregnant at 8 weeks and a lot of people could tell. At the begining, it is mostly bloating.....and I think that some women can bloat more than others.
I have pretty much evened out.....although I still consider myself a little bigger than some people are at 5.5 months.

i think it is normal.

i bought bigger size pants, and cut them short.

i dont think if you wear normal pants ,(but bigger size),if they can tell you are prenant.
