Hey ladies!

I've been really busy lately!! We had to cancel our first IVF cycle because of hydrosalpinx (bad inflammation of the tubes). Has anyone been diagnosed with this? RE said this was probably caused by the UC long before I had the surgery but the stims I was taking produced certain hormones that caused the tubes to show inflammation in the ultra sound. I had to have surgery and RE removed most of my tubes!! He said there was A LOT of adhesions and he couldn't fully remove all of my tubes!! For those who aren't familiar with hydrosalpinx...RE had to prevent the fluid, that was built up in my tubes, from entering into my uterus b/c it can cause me to lose the baby!! I have to do IVF anyway and weren't using my tubes! My tubes were fully blocked and the fluid was flowing backwards into my uterus instead of out toward the ovaries.

He found some adhesions growing b/t my bladder and uterus and then as you would expect, growing close to the bowels. I'm afraid that I'll have to go in every few years to get those adhesions "zapped" to prevent blockages etc.

I go back in April 30 so we can hopefully start another cycle!!
Thanks to Jill and all the rest for your IVF advise!!! I love the ivfconnections.com website!!

I also had hydrosalpinx, I had surgery in Feburary to remove the L tube, they found a lot of scar tissue and nothing was where it was supposed to be, my R tube and ovary were adhered to my pouch. I'm still home recovering due to many post op complications (is any thing ever easy??). Will be looking to start IVF this summer some time after I have fully recovered. They mentioed that they may have trouble retriving my eggs due to ovaries not being where they are supposed to be, did they see any problem like that in you? Just curious, good luck with everything!
