I have been on b.c. pills for 12 yrsup until this past Jan. i was wondering how long it takes for the pill to get o/of ur system. I'm about a month late. I have taken 3 preg. test @ home and they are all neg. I've had some pain this wk and I think I maybe trying to ovulate. I have not gone to a ob dr. as of yet about this. I thought I would wait a few months to see what happens.

I would appreciate any advice!

I think I recently read something that says the Pill can take 60 days to get out of your system.

I'm trying to get pregnant too and came of the contraceptive patch August 05.

My understanding is that it can take up to 6 months for your body to start making it's own hormones again - so you may find that your cycle is a bit erratic for a while. I know mine was! I think my first period came just short of 3 months of stopping the patch, and i then ranged from 28 days - 60+ for about 9 months... I've now settled into a regular 35-40 day cycle.

Everyone is different so you may find that you get back into it quite quickly - but don't get too worried if it doesn't.

At this stage I'd wait another week or so then try another test. Good Luck!

Hi, my OB told me that the pill doesn't stay in your system, that is why they say to take it everyday at the same time. I wish you look it TTC.
I am also TTC. I have been off the Nuvaring for 3 months. This is our second month of trying.
I am also very nervous about being able to conceive. I had surgery in October. BUT I only have one overy. The other one was removed when I was two days old.

So I am right there with you in TTC.

Any suggestions to boost fertility???
