Urination has been...different. Like it trickles more and takes a while to empty. Anyone else?

I have to empty my pouch to empty my baldder...but my pouch won't empty if my bladder is full Eeker...so I need to never have both full at the same time...I also stutter when I pee...starts and stops...so yup..surgery is never just surgery...it is also a whole basket full of complications.
Sharon

It could be worse...oh, wait..it already has been! then I guess it can only get better from here....

YES! I think my bladder feels overshadowed by all the attention my bowels received the last 7 years. Lordy Be. Sharon, I hear you about never having both full. It feels like having fighting siblings in my abdomen.

It took several years, but I retrained my muscles and my mind so that I actually CAN pee now without emptying the pouch, or pee first and then empty the pouch, but it's very tricky and took awhile to master. It's easier to just let both go at once, of course, but when you're in a public bathroom, which I am almost all day at work, it's nice to have a choice of just peeing and then hang out a moment til the other person leaves and then empty the pouch.

So glad to hear it's not just me! Just when I think I'm all done....there it goes again! I'm hoping in time it will get better.

Yep. Smiler

I actually can hold one and let the other go. Well I can hold the pouch and pee but not vice versa. Anyway...its a matter of major concentration though. Who would've thought back before that going to the bathroom would be something to ponder--A LOT. Roll Eyes I guess its all good. Especially with some of the other more *serious* problems that can come as a result of surgery! Am glad to hear I'm not the only one though. Some comfort in that.
