Hi everyone x
I am just over 31 weeks pregnant and have my c-section arranged for the 1st October 2010 at 37+5, but in the meantime, baby keeps moving from engaged to breech and every time she is breech, I get the same excruciating pain that I got after my j-pouch surgery 14 years ago when I had a severe twisted bowel and required emergency surgery. No-one to do with the pregnancy seems to be taking this seriously and I can't get myself an appointment with a pouch specialist until 2 days before my caesarian, which is pointless! Do you think I should just go straight to A&E (ER, but in the UK) I have the pain on and off, but my instincts tell me it is the same as before and not simply the baby's head pushing on scar tissue. I also feel nauseous and my pouch output has thickened and slowed right down and I thought it was supposed to quicken. I know in 80% of cases it sorts itself out, but if it is more serious as before, am I likely to need surgery and will this mean my baby has to be delivered before surgery can take place? How will the docs be able to tell if it's a twisted bowel without a CT scan or x-ray which I can't have while pregnant? Any help would be gratefully received, thank you everyone x x x Jools x Dx UC 1985 J-pouch 2 stages 1996 Pregnant EDD 20th Oct 2010 |
