To all permanent ostomates that were previously internal pouchers.

Many times when we discuss our situation (permanent ileostomy)we refer to that special club, like Shell has stated many times. Well why don't we come up with a name for that club? Everyone think of several names and we can put it up on a poll.

Example, the mile high club, well, maybe that isn't the best example, you people know what I mean. I'm not a member of that one.

or maybe something like, club Brauc, Bad rears aint us club.

Any thoughts?

Well the first thing that sprang to my mind was "The Excess Baggage Club"

This really is very apt for me as I get stopped and searched every time we go through customs and Frank's job is as an airport ground crew member.

I don't know about a group name - not too creative this afternoon, either. I finally figgered out a name for my own parts after being reluctant to name my stoma. Maybe it's because of raising animals where one might be called meat #1 and another meat #2, or shishkebab or...just wasn't attached to the idea of naming a body part. On the other hand, when I said to my husband the other day that I nedd time to change my appliance, he retorted that I needn't whisper: for all anyone else knew, I was talking about a kitchen appliance. So now I deal with my ....toaster. I suppose a blender would have been more appropriate, but toaster is what came up. What can you do with a woman who names her dawg Tat Soi, a Chinese vegetable?

I'll think about the group name....
