Anybody tried this ostomy shower/water sport cover? http://www.cmostomysupply.com/cm_html/d_drycorpsizes.html

I know most people just shower with it on and blow dry but I really hate that, so I was looking at this product. Plus it looks great for the beach which I live very near.

I don't blow dry my bag after showering...I put a piece of papertowel under the bag and one over and then fold the clip end up and tuck it in my underwear while I get ready for the day. If it isn't dry when I'm ready to get dressed, I repeat the process with tissues and get on with it.

Marcene,

I saw that site too and was thinking about ordering one. I haven't even gotten my perm ileo yet - next week, but I have had 3 temp ileos and I think that would be a cool thing to have for baths, swimming and the beach, etc.

If you get one let me know - if I end up getting one I'll let you know.

If anybody else out there has one - let us know!

I checked out Dry Pro for my son on another site and it did not get great reviews. You can watch a demo of it on youtube also but the guy does not have an ostomy......It seems like a lot to go through for a shower but may be good at the beach. Let us know if you get one.

Hi, I did order one and have mixed feelings about it. It is difficult to size if your waist and hips are too different in measure. I have a 28 waist and 34 hips so since it slides up over your hips it has to fit the 34" but is a little lacking around my waist. I have been using tape across the top and then getting the seal and trying it out in the shower. The wafer and bag stay dry but it is not a vacuum seal like it should be. Not worth the trouble for a shower, but I would take it on a lake trip where wet suits or such was involved. So I like having it but I don't think it is practical for everyday use for showering. I actually wasn't aware just how fast the wafer and bag dry after getting fully wet. So I feel dumb going to such lengths all the time to keep them dry. It is bulky and wouldn't work too well under a swim suit.
