Shell-
Thank you. I'm just reading your reply from the 11th . re: Wee Willie blowing a raspberry and fantom farts. Thank you thank you thank you.
I needed that laugh so hard I cried. Had what was to be step one on June 13. Week in the hopt but I haven't been able to bring myself back to the world or this site since then. Currently end ileo hoping to try for pouch again in future. Have to go in for a CT scan and blood work tomorrow and am just plain tired.
Coming to this site is a form of therapy for me wether I post or not. It helps me to face up and accept this new life style.

I just wanted to thank you for your kindness in answering the queries of others and for your fantastic sense of self. And, for a well needed laugh out loud moment.
Lani

Shell is indeed awesome!

I have an interesting experience happening now as my 2 1/2 year old has discovered my "toma" and loves the gurgling noises it sometimes makes. He says "more" while giggling and it is hard to explain that I can't do it again at will.

He has seen "toma" when I am doing a change and he knows about my bag. Only a matter of time before he innocently says something in public. Hubby and I are eagerly awaiting that day to see what is said and how people react!

Well talking of people who nursed me through my transition to stomaworld....

JillM and Gill (Welsh Witch) were my inspirations and continue to be so. From tips on ostomy supplies and tricks of the trade to down right (painful) belly laughs (Gill you knew I still had my stitches when you rang me in hospital! Big Grin). Thanks also for the food parcel that you sent to me even though I never did get to try them because the nurses got to them first. Only someone who's actually had the experience of NHS food would think of that! Big Grin I even had two members (Cait and Jolene) from this site visit me while I was in hospital.

There were so many others cheering my corner that there's too many to mention so I'll just use this opportunity to thank you all for the endless love and support I've received over my many years and many operations/problems as a member of this wonderful site. Smiler

Luv you all! Smiler
