I had a perm ileostomy 6/07 due pelvic abscesses. j-pouch could not be saved. This is my problem: I have been having vaginal discharge and odor (this is gross but is smells like whatever i eat. I empty my bag and its the same smell) also a lot of "p***Y" farts during intercourse. I had a pap and everything is normal. Could my small intestine be connected somehow to my vagina. this is driving me nuts. Anyone else have this happen to them????

The question is: do you still have your rectum?? If you do, you could have a recto/vaginal fistula. This happened to me before I had my perm ileo placed, and I had all the EXACT same symptoms. Sometimes it cannot be seen on a pelvic exam, you may need to see your GI or surgeon. My RV fistula was one of the several reasons I decided to go with the perm ileo.
