Just wondering if anyone does anything or has this problem I fill up at night with gas causing the bag to implode and leak another leak problem I have I have tried venting bags but they get wet and they do not work I have tried every med under the sun i'm at rare case as the docs say with many problems , this is one one few that i'm trying to over come but not sure what to try as I wake up to a balloon on myside, and when I go out in public I have a ballon in my pants very embarrassing, so if anyone has an idea to try i'm all for it'

I used to design thing's if I can't find something soon I may think about designing something for us for this problem as it seems to not exsist, which is very annoying.

Have you tried activated charcoal? You can't take it with most medications (absorbs and makes them ineffective), but might be worth a try.

You may also want to limit your carbs.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

This may be a silly question, but what's an example of something good to eat in this case? I was under the impression that fatty foods, and harder-to-digest meats were also culprits, although I am so far from an expert on this it's not even funny. Obviously leafy greens aren't on the menu for other reasons. Am I wrong here - is meat and cheese going to produce less gas than potatoes?

I could never get a real understanding of this part of diet management, although having just gone under the knife 8 days ago for a temporary ileostomy after having a j-pouch for four years my memory is shaky.

I have the SAME problem. I use the charcoal filter bags and they seem to work fine during the day (meaning no more balloon in your pants) but dont work at night at all...Some people have told me to get up around 4 or 5am to burp the bag. Also, try not to eat before you go to bed.
