Not sure if anyone tried the old ones but stool and water can get in and out. Hollister came out with these and seems very interesting if they work right. No stool can get out and no liquid in or out... Anyone try these (not the old style)

I just got some, due to an ordering mistake. I may try them, I am a little wary as I wear the bag sideways and not up and down. If I do hook one up, I will let you know the results. If they work, these would be awesome at night. I get so much gas at night and often have to wake up for a gas filled bag.

I haven't tried the new ones because I wear Coloplast's Assura bags (with my Convatec moldable wafer) and find that the filters on the Assura bags work really well for me. However, I do change my bag every morning after my shower so not sure how they'd hold up if I wore them for longer.

Do Hollister do an adhesive coupling 2 piece? If they do I might give the bags with the new filters a trial. Let me know how you guys get on with them.

Take care Smiler

Cool new filter, hope it works. The one I have on the convatec leaks every so often so I quit ordering the filtered bags from convatec.

I like the holister new image setup except for the top of the bag sticks out too far and pushes out on my shirts. Thats why I like convatec, not much material at the top of the bag.

Interesting, I sometimes use the oldfilter bags and put the filter cover on when I bathe. Afterwards the filter cover seems to not want to come off so I leave it on in fear of compromising the bag. I always end up going back to my original set up which is the hollister 14202 wafer and 18202 bag, these work perfect for me. This new bag seems to be worth a try though. Thanks Jason.

Just got off the phone with them and they are sending me 5 to try. They really sound great and seems like a good break through if it works like they say it will. He also told me that every bag they make will have the option of this filter by april (mine already do). Also, they will have both styles the clip or velcro. He is sending them out today and should have them by Fri (cause of holiday)... Will let you all know what i think - If anyone else wants to call for a sample here is their number:

Actually, if you want a killer filter, ConvaTec has them. They were amazing! Never a smell, no ballooning, held up with pure liquid output and long hot showers.

The worst filter belongs to ColoPlast. Watery output would clog and seep through to the outside. Eeewww!!!!

I still writing reviews of all three manufactures (Hollister, ConveTec, Coloplast). This is my second time around with a temp ileo, and got samples galore from all three manufactures Smiler

My vote is with Coloplast's Assura range of bags, but as I said I do change my bag every morning so not sure how they'd hold out after a few days.

I'll be interesting to compare notes....

Jason? What's the verdict? Smiler

Maybe beer through a straw, LOL!!! That'd be interesting.

Jason, I'll be looking for your update next week. I wear Holister and will probably give them a try too.
