surgery date set for Tuesday

I have my surgery to go back to a perm ileostomy this Tuesday the 16th. Strangely, I am feeling very excited. Two weeks ago, I was feeling down and depressed, but after all the wonderful words from other on this site that have done the same thing, I truly look forward to feeling better. I have a two year old daughter, who deserves a Mother who can do things with her. I am sure I will have questions after surgery, so I will talk to you all afterwards.

Good Luck! I have a 2 year old also and having your health will make a world of difference. Don't let the adjustment get you down. It's so hard not to pick up those "babies" but they are too big to be toting after surgery. I'll be gone for 2 weeks in Europe but please keep the board updated so I can follow how you are doing when I get back. I'm so excited for you, on to better things!

HI Anne, You are probably still in hospital recovering, I hope that goes well for you. I am doing the same op next Wednesday, and like you I had some sadness for a while, now I can't wait to get my life back! All the best for you.

Thanks all,
I am back home now and recovering well. I already feel so much better! Good luck Saff with your surgery, and I hope you have a speedy recovery. I am sure it will go smoothly.
