Oh man, I had a bartholin cyst removed- not nearly as complicated as you, but still, stitches down there is HORRIBLE. Its funny, because my incision opened up again, too. They used dissolvable stitches and I woke up the next morning after surgery and had a gaping hole in my vagina. Not fun. As for advice for other options, thats something you should talk to your doctor about. (Ps, you might get more replies by posting this in the womens health forum) CHELSEA Perm Ileo March 11th!!! MY GOD COMPLICATIONS!- two abscessed wounds, two surgeries, an ileus, raging e.coli infection, drain in my buttcheek to drain a pocket of infection the size of a basketball, TPN and IV antibiotics for a month, BUT I'M ALIVE! 5/23-hospitalized again, e.coli infection came back....iv antibiotics again. blood clot found from picc line. neverending! 6/21 hospitalized...again. e.coli and staph. drain again.

Yeah but the only thing my doctor suggests is sitz baths and they don't work. Actually I had to go to the ER today because this tear in my vagina has spread down to the skin in my butt area that my surgeon sewned together. My butt part had all been healed and now I'm left with a big opening from the bottom of my vagina all down my butt area. I'm so frustrated! Oh and what did they tell me at the ER go home and have some sitz baths! I go see my surgeon on Monday and I am so sick of this I'm really going to let her have it. If she thinks I'm going to walk around with a large open area down there and take sitz baths which don't work to try to fix it, she is crazy!!! Sorry I'm kind of ranting but I'm so extremely frustrated!
